Bentencho is located in the bay area of Osaka and is said to be an comfortable town to live in with many convenient facilities. In recent years, onsen hot spring theme park has been built and the area is becoming more and more beautiful and entertaining. The location of Bentencho also offers easy access to USJ and Kyocera Dome Osaka, and since the Konjaku-So Bentencho offers entire building available for stay, it is popular with large groups of guests.
This time, I took a walk around the Bentencho area and would like to introduce the course of the walk. Please take this article in your hand and let's embark on a little journey with me 😛
To TUGBOAT, a place for unique and variety food
I would like to go in the direction of Taisho, along the river, which is the opposite side of the Bay Area.
First, exit Konjaku-So and start walking to the left.
Keep walking straight.
As you can see in the photo, it was after the rain that day. I don't really like the smell that comes up from the asphalt road when it starts to rain, but I like the fresh, clean air after it stops raining 🙂
At the end of the street, turn right.
Soon you will see a road where you can turn left, so go that way.
Go straight and to find these blue buildings, and turn right here.
There are many houses and small factories around Bentencho. If you avoid the main road, it is generally a quiet town, and it seems to be very popular as a place to live.
When you see the small factory shown in the photo, turn left.
Continue to go forward.
You can feel the quiet atmosphere of the town around you.
You will see a ramen shop with the red sign, and turn right here.
Continue straight on this road.
As you approach one of the main streets, you can gradually feel the city's vitality.
Continue straight ahead.
You can find Foleo Osaka Dome City, the local shopping mall.
Then you will face Kyocera Dome Osaka.
We're going for TUGBOAT now, so let's come back later.
Cross the Iwasaki Bridge, and when you see a tunnel (the rail track of Osaka Loop Line) on the right, turn left here.
Turn left at the spacious intersection shown in the photo.
Go straight ahead.

Here we arrive at the TUGBOAT!

To Kyocera Dome Osaka
Exit the tugboat and turn left.
Go straight on this road.
When you see AEON, cross the traffic light and turn left.
Go straight ahead and see Kyocera Dome again!
Going up the stairs reminds me of the concert that I went when I was in high school. 🥺

Bentencho is famous for its location in a bay area, so of course a walk toward Osaka Bay is great, but I could also enjoy walking toward the river. You can feel the quiet atmosphere of the town and the liveliness of the riverfront at the end of the course... 😌
