Have you ever had a sudden craving for Korean food that drives you crazy?
I did have the feeling a while ago, so I called my sister and we headed to the Tsuruhashi Shotengai (shopping street).
Attracted by the middle-aged staff's call, we entered a cozy restaurant called Taeyang (meaning "sun", spelled "太陽" in Japanese).
We toasted with Kimbap, Buchimgae (Korean pancakes) and beer - how classic! (and not to mention, always amazing)
As for the taste... it was the best Kimbap I have ever had. Also the staff was kind and friendly. When I told her my age, she said I looked yonger 😀 Japanese youth always look younger, I guess?
She also told us that Yangnyeomis is often thought as spicy seasoning, but it actually tastes sweet.
A few months later, I still couldn't forget the taste of Kimbap, so I stopped by at Tsuruhashi station and bought some Kimbap, the yam Kimchi that the staff recommended to me, and some Japchae that caught my eye.
They were all so delicious!
