Dotonbori is well-known for Osaka's nightlife district. This area is packed with theaters, restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping streets, and nightclubs, allowing visitors to fully enjoy Osaka. The famous Glico sign can be seen near Ebisu Bridge in Dotonbori. You will also see a line of people in popular Takoyaki stores.
The Kuromon Market, called "the kitchen of Osaka," is located at Nippombashi in Osaka and has been developed as a fresh fish market. The number of shops was about 90 in the Meiji Period and increased to about 130 in 2018. A variety of items are available here, such as fresh fish, vegetables, fruits, meats, eggs, snacks, drinks, and clothing. There are also pharmacies, osteopathic (bone setting) clinics, department stores, and 100 yen shops, and the stores here are all loved by locals.
